„Das hier ist die 1. Klasse!!“

#KI

Did anyone check the mug’s impact factor?
And is the coffee/tea it contains open access? Or, when you go to take a sip, does it present you with access options? Can you rent the beverage for a few days?
— Dr. John Barentine FRAS (@JohnBarentine) February 21, 2019
You are only allowed to use the mug at work, and if you retire or move to another institute, you cannot take the mug with you. You are not allowed to share the mug with your colleagues at other institutions.

But since it’s my own coffee or tea, and I retain ownership rights, can I *personally* offer it to other people, provided I don’t leave it unattended in a public place?

Major European funders, including the EU's Horizon 2020 program, have decided enough is enough, and will only pay for mugs that everyone is free to use.
The mug industry is encouraging academics to complain, and argue that their careers may be hurt if they use sharable mugs.

Hmmm: is the a new way of distributing papers that are not #openaccess ?
Or do they print only OA papers?
— @Andreas Jechow (@AndreasJechow) February 21, 2019
If you get H2020 money, you will be required to buy open access mugs.
